Join us for an incredibly fun adventure as we journey through India in 5 days! Each day, the participants will explore different elements of Indian Culture and learn about

DANCE

Students will learn dances inspired by five different regions of India while learning stories about the lives of the people from there.

FOLK ART

Students will explore the fascinating folk art from each of the 5 regions, centuries-old traditions that turn storytelling into breathtaking works of art.

HINDI

Students will learn Hindi words and phrases tied to the theme. This creates a more meaningful learning experience.

CRICKET

That’s right! Students will learn about cricket, the most popular sport in India, and they will even try playing it themselves!

Does being inclusive lower the standards?

A few weeks ago, my phone rang mid-morning. On the line was a mom. “I’d love for my child to join your class,” she said, “but he’s on the spectrum. He might stim during the session. Will the other kids (and parents) be okay with that?” There was quite a bit of anticipation in her voice.

“Yes,” I said. “He’s absolutely welcome!”

The day of the class arrived. I set up the space with music, books, art, etc., and kept an eye on the door.

And then, he walked in with a bright and cheerful smile. He greeted every child, thanked me each time I complimented the students, and brought a level of joy that was absolutely contagious.

The other kids? They danced more freely. Their smiles got bigger. THE KID SINGLE-HANDEDLY IMPROVED THE EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE!

No disruptions. No compromise in quality. Just more warmth, more connection, more fun.

Inclusion didn’t dilute the experience, it enriched it.

Whether it’s arts education or company policies, you don’t lose excellence when you make space for everyone. You improve it for all involved.

Boys Don’t Dance!

“Boys don’t dance!” Social conditioning is very good at discouraging boys from anything remotely resembling dance. In the first iteration of bG Kids, that is exactly what we saw. Way more girls than boys would enroll.

But I am so happy to share that the number of boys enrolling for my classes is exponentially increasing!! Maybe it’s the word “ADVENTURE” that draws them in. Maybe it’s the PARENTS who are pushing past old narratives.
The best part is that once they are in, they LOVE it!

Here’s to raising a generation that expresses freely and grows without artificial limits!
