Audition Info

Bollywood Groove is a Chicagoland based Bollywood and Bhangra dance Company. We perform at various events including Summerdance Chicago, Millennium Park, street festivals, private weddings, cultural shows, and teach bollywood dance and fitness classes, and are now looking for dancers like YOU!

What is this audition for?

We are looking for 10-15 dancers to join our performance troupe for at least a period of 1 year.

What are we looking for in a dancer?

We are looking for dancers who can pick up versatile/intricate choreography at a quick pace. There is no requirement for any level of specific training, but those who have experience performing are preferred.  Choreography experience is not required but is preferred.

 What can you expect from auditions?

Auditions will consist of learning short routines (up to 1 min in length). Dancers will be expected to learn the routine in 1 hour and then audition in small groups.  After everyone has auditioned, we will be in contact with you via email to further discuss the selection process.

What happens if I make the cut?

If selected, it is expected that dancers are committed to attending rehearsals and the performances. At this point, we rehearse every Sunday from 6 to 8 pm in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area of Chicago.  You must be able to make at least 3 out of these 4 upcoming shows:
